Snowshoe Mountain Celebrates Last Hurrah of the Season with Free Skiing!

Guests lodging with the mountain March 21st-27th will receive free lift tickets. Non-lodging guests will receive lift tickets for just $26 a day!

Snowshoe, WV - Ski season isn’t over yet. Snowshoe Mountain Resort has seen 15” of new snow fall in the last week, and on Friday the resort announced that lodging guests will SKI FREE for the last week of the season, March 21st-27th. Snowshoe’s Last Hurrah festivities will also include great savings on mountaintop lodging accommodations, rental equipment, retail offerings, adventure activities and the traditional end-of-season Pond Skimming Event on March 26th.

With some great late season snow, Snowshoe is offering the region’s most open terrain with 39 of the Basin area’s 40 slopes expected to be open through the end of the season. That open terrain will include the resort’s famed Western Territory, offering 1,500 vertical feet and nearly 1.5 miles of leg-burning action. For those guests not able to spend the night with the resort, walk-up lift tickets for the same period of March 21st-27th will be available for just $26, or 50% off of the resort’s typical value season pricing for that period.

Lift tickets won’t be the only discounted products at the resort. Snowshoe’s rental shops will also be offering discounts on Head and Burton ski and snowboard rental equipment, and Snowshoe-owned retail shops will be offering discounts of up to 50% on a variety of products including outer wear, footwear, skis, boards, other ski and snowboard equipment and more! Snowshoe’s Outdoor Adventure activities, including guided snowmobile tours and snowcat tours, will also be offering special Last Hurrah savings.

On Saturday, March 26th, Snowshoe will host the annual Last Hurrah Pond Skimming Event. Daring skiers and riders will attempt to skim their way across a man-made lake on the resort’s beginner slope located just outside the Village. Snowshoe’s DJ Judd will be providing musical entertainment and revelers will compete in a “most rad” costume contest and will enjoy a Happy Hour “Survivors Party” at Moonshine Pub.

Guests taking advantage of the FREE lift ticket offer will also see great savings on Snowshoe’s mountaintop lodging accommodations. Lodging packages start at just $125 a night for a gold-rated junior studio in the resort’s picturesque Village. Accommodating up to 4 people, that’s just $32 per night for accommodations and great skiing and riding!

Snowshoe has seen more than 140” of natural snowfall this season and continues to boast base depth averages of more than 3 feet across its open terrain. Last Hurrah skiing and riding should provide great spring conditions and plenty of room to enjoy it!
