Two Days to Celebrate the Fall Foliage in Grand Junction, CO


Mesa, CO - Fall is in full swing, complete with captivating colors, crisp, cool, brisk winds and colorful leaves falling from the trees. It’s the perfect time to celebrate the season, and Powderhorn is pleased to announce the return of its annual Color Weekend, featuring the Grand Mesa Byway’s annual Color Sunday, September 29 and 30. Don’t miss this opportunity to take in the views from above the trees at the most pristine perch on the western slope.

Powderhorn’s Color Weekend includes a fun and friendly venue with food, live music, lift rides, and activities for all ages. The weekend event features a disc golf tournament on the 29th, family photo locations in the leaves and trees, discounted tent sales, free yoga, free camping in the lower lot and, of course, the Powderhorn Challenge, which includes three races at 8,200 ft.: the annual 10K Thigunawat; the Team Challenge; and the Kids Fun Race will be main attractions during Color Weekend. Guests are reminded they must be able to load and unload the lift unassisted.
