Crested Butte, CO - Sixty Eight Days until November 21st, Opening Day and the start of a record-shattering season with abundant snowfall. It says so on the internet, so it must be true. But winter’s not here quite yet and we are fully enjoying the last days of summer in
Crested Butte. Two weeks ago, the USA Pro Challenge raced through town and the hunt for the yellow jersey kicked into full swing on the flanks of Mt. Crested Butte with Tejay van Garderen edging out the future overall winner, Christian Vande Velde, in the last seconds of the race. A beautiful Labor Day weekend saw visitors and locals alike enjoying their passions from biking to boating, all soaking up the summer sun. Now, the hints of yellow are getting more pronounced making the mountainsides a photographer's paradise.
