Eldora, CO - The ski area located 21 miles west of Boulder, Colorado will open with 8 trails, and 4 lifts scheduled to operate. A cold front that moved into the Front Range mountains on Tuesday brought new snow to the area and allowed for snowmaking operations to run in full-force.
Eldora will open with a 23-inch base of machine-made and packed powder snow. Hornblower/ International, Jolly Jug / Sunset & Windmill trails on Challenge Mountain will open. Other trails opening on Little Hawk Mountain include: Upper and Lower Bunnyfair and Sun Kid. Lifts will open at 9:00am and remain open until 4:00pm. More terrain will open as soon as weather permits.
Eldora will offer lessons, equipment rentals and food and beverage for opening and throughout the season.
