Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is pleased to announce the return of the 2nd annual Art on the Mountain show and sale, to be held this year on Friday evening November 16th from 3pm to 8pm and Saturday November 17th from 11am to 5pm, in the Hope Ski Lodge.
Surrounding the huge stone fireplace, over 25 regional painters, photographers and sculptors and new this year 28 crafters ranging in age from 17 to 84 will show and sell their artwork and wares with styles as different as their ages and prices to fit any budget. Admission is free.
Wine tastings, light refreshments and live music will be featured in the adjoining EZ Bumps Saloon.
A holiday shopping opportunity, Art on the Mountain will also serve as a preview to the coming ski season with the Shawnee Mountain Ski Shop hosting a pre-season sale. Those attending will find last season’s ski and snowboard merchandise available at up to 50% off MSRP, as well as first chance to purchase all the new gear for the winter of 2012/13. Art on the Mountain is the last fall weekend to take advantage of Shawnee’s unlimited Buddy Season Pass Sale; available for just $315 per person. If the weather cooperates the ski slopes may have a white covering during the event as snowmaking is scheduled to begin mid-November on Shawnee Mountain as temperatures permit.
