Mount Snow Resort in southern Vermont today officially launched a new free mobile application downloadable on both iOS and Android operating systems. The new app is GPS enabled so users can track the amount of vertical and total distance they travel while skiing or snowboarding on the mountain, as well as find their current location on the trail map.
Other features include the latest snow conditions and lift report, events calendar, live cams display, news, deals and links to the resort's social media channels.
"This is a completely free product that will really help our guests navigate not only the mountain, but the entire resort, as well track runs, track vertical feet skied and so much more," said Matt Gebo, Mount Snow director of marketing and events. "It will enhance the guest's experience during their visit and also allow them easy access to resort information through their mobile device no matter where they are."
Mount Snow worked with application developer Resorts Tapped, a company that specializes in creating "iPhone and Android apps for winter resorts", to produce the product.
