RED Mountain is Preparing for Next Season Now!

Rossland, BC - Every fall the predictions for the winter snowfall come to life as people make their guess based on what the Farmer’s Almanac says or what the Mountain Ash did over the summer months. As for spring, the only thing that is absolute when looking into the future is the Early Bird season pass sale. Now is the time you’ll see the deepest savings that anyone will get for a 2010-2011 season pass and only for a limited time! Purchase by April 30th and you can save up to $270 on next year’s season pass.

Also, to make purchasing next season’s pass a little easier, RED Mountain has partnered with Rossland’s Nelson and District Credit Union. Until Friday, April 30th, you can apply for an interest free loan for the purchase of next season’s pass. The Gathering at RED Mountain April 2 - 4: Bios and Bands for the Gathering

Rossland, BC - RED Mountain and POWDER Magazine are presenting The Gathering from April 2 – 4th, 2010. With the countdown on for the spectacular ski party, the event is crystallizing to be an event for everyone to enjoy!

“The Mountain Mash Up”, Friday, April 2nd (doors open at 6:30), located at RED Mountain Day Lodge will play host to a number of photographers and adventurers from around the world and the After Party will be featuring Wassabi Collective. Wassabi Collective’s “sound fuses everything from pop, rock, hip hop, roots reggae, funk, jazz and everything in between, wrapping it all up with their own identifiable twist that has captivated dance floors and won them legions of fans across the country.”

Swift. Silent. Deep will have its Kootenay Premiere Saturday, April 3rd at the Rossland Miner’s Hall (doors open at 3:30pm). The regional matinee showing will show the story that changed the face of hardcore ski culture in North America and ultimately redefined a sport. Click Here for Trailer!

“In the Crosshairs”, presented by Powder Magazine, will commence Saturday, April 3rd at the Rossland Miner’s Hall (doors reopen for the evening 6:30pm). The event will host some of the most decorated POWDER Magazine photographers who’ll be showcasing some of their best work. The After Party will feature Five Alarm Funk: “The band’s wicked cross-rhythms and frenetic, costumed stage show appeals to jazz fans and clubs kids alike. Five Alarm Funk has carved out a word of mouth fan base from a series of crowd-pleasing performances at clubs, concert halls, and festivals throughout Western Canada.”

Red Lodge Mountain Resort Announces Plans for 50th

Red Lodge, MT - Red Lodge Mountain Resort is announcing plans for their 50th anniversary celebration. On February 27, 2010, the resort will mark its birthday with a day of festivities, celebrating its first 50 years of operations and looking forward to the next 50.
A major highlight of the day will include a special ticket deal for skiers and riders. On Saturday, February 27, 2010, the mountain will be offering lift tickets at the special price of 2 for $50. In addition to the special ticket deal, the day will also feature a historical display of the past 50 years of operations in the Loft of the Main Lodge, and a special après ski event featuring live music, a cake cutting and drink and food specials.

Red Lodge Mountain Resort is calling on all skiers and snowboards from past and present to help contribute to the historical display. Those having any artifacts from the first 50 years of Grizzly Peak/Red Lodge Mountain Resort are invited to share them with the public during the celebration. From old uniforms to classic photos, the mountain would be honored to borrow and display them. Those wishing to participate are asked to call the marketing department at 406-446-2610 ext. 105 or
