Spring Arrives in Winter Disguise!

Twin Bridges, BC - March 21 may have marked the first day of Spring, but it’s full on winter at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort. Days and days of snow have brought us a season snowfall total of 662” and counting! The bottom line? Spring has not sprung - get out your pow board and sticks and dive into the deeps. Be sure to get your piece of one of the most epic seasons yet.

What’s better than first chair pow turns followed by some heavy hitting jib action on custom features?

Saturday, April 2 is the Red Bull Butter Cup Pro and Am snowboard rail jam. Cut loose, spread it on and bust out your smoothest butter tricks.
  • Does your girlfriend shred better than you? Boys, put your pride aside and come out and watch girl snowboarders throw down at the Billabong Flaunt It Finals on Saturday, April 9.
  • Are you a slayer in the kitchen? Is salsa your specialty? Bust it out on Sunday, April 10 and prove your condiment mastery at the 4th Annual Salsa Showdown sponsored by Maui Jim.
  • Enjoy all the action and ski/stay for a deal with our Spring Fiesta specials.

20…30 inches each day can’t keep ‘em away! Tahoe is the zone to be for the pro shreds as they work on this year's video parts. And while they’re in town, Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort feels just like home.

Forum Snowboard’s Daniel Ek and Stevie Bell are launching the pillows in Jack’s Bowl. Our own Stian Solberg is scoping out Sierra's legendary stashes for photo opportunities. Hannah Teter is taking a break from her busy schedule for a dose of powder R&R. Jamie Anderson returns to her home resort from YET another win at the European X Games in Women’s Slopestyle.

190+ Inches of Snow and Three Parks

Twin Bridges, CA - Three weeks into the season and Sierra Resort has already logged over 190 inches of snow, four blower powder days, top-to-bottom skiing and riding every-day-all-day-since-day-one, three terrain parks, and some amazing turns in Sierra's legendary trees. As the whirlwind opening gives way to the calm-before-the-holiday-storm , you can rest your weary legs, finally get that detailed tune on your skis or board, get your holiday shopping done, and get ready for La NiƱa to deliver the goods this winter.

Have a friend who doesn’t ski or ride? You know the ones – they hang out in the bar all day or cuddle up on the couch with a book while you shred your face off. Turn them on to the $35 Learn to Ski or Ride package and watch them turn from couch potato to shredding maniac in just a few visits. The $35 package is affordable and offers a 2.5 hour beginner lesson, a limited access lift ticket, and all day equipment rental. It’s just what you need to get started. (Beginner package is available online only, 24 hours in advance, for adults 13+ only, excluding restricted dates. Limited quantities available).
