Full Musical Lineup Announced for 2nd Annual Taos Mountain Music Festival


A Full Weekend of Camping, Fun and Entertainment Planned for 2010 Festival
Taos, NM - The musical lineup has been finalized for the 2nd Annual Taos Mountain Music Festival in Taos Ski Valley, Sunday, September 5th. Headliner Gov't Mule will be joined by bluegrass/rock band Yonder Mountain String Band, blues artist Shemekia Copeland, Spanish reggae band Radio La Chusma, Jazz artist Mia Borders and locally based Mariachi Calor.

"In addition to the great music slated for this year's festival there will be activities and entertainment throughout the entire village all weekend long." says Events Director Alejandro Blake. "Concert/Festival goers will have plenty to enjoy and keep themselves entertained over the holiday weekend."

The 2nd Annual Taos Mountain Music Festival will be a full weekend event with musical acts taking place on the main stage Sunday and Saturday evening at the Stray Dog Cantina's "Pre-fest Party". Friday night will be a free outdoor movie hosted by Taos Ski Valley. Saturday there will be guided hikes, horseback riding, mountain biking, chairlift rides, rock climbing and llama trekking available to all festival attendees.

Taos Mountain Music Festival



Taos, NM - It has just been confirmed that Yonder Mountain String Band will be appearing at this year's Taos Mountain Music Festival in Taos Ski Valley, NM. Yonder Mountain String Band will be joining headliner, Gov't Mule, along with a full festival lineup performing throughout Sunday, September 5.

"We are very excited to have Gov't Mule and Yonder Mountain String Band on the bill for the 2nd Annual Taos Mountain Music Festival," says Taos Ski Valley's Event Director, Alejandro Blake. "We anticipate they, along with the other acts slated to be on the bill, will attract many enthusiastic music fans to our beautiful mountain town".

Taos Ski Valley Features Gov't Mule at the Second Annual Taos Mountain Music Festival


Taos Ski Valley, NM - This is the music event of the summer in Northern New Mexico. On Sunday, September 5th, Taos Mountain Music Festival is featuring Warren Haynes with his prolific band Gov't Mule along with a full lineup of great music throughout the day.

Big riffs, massive grooves, and expansive improvisations are the hallmarks of Gov't Mule's legendary live shows.

"Last year's Taos Mountain Music Festival was a fantastic event!" says Taos Ski Valley's Event Director Alejandro Blake "This year we are stepping it up a level and people are going to be blown away by the talented lineup slated to play the 2010 festival."

This outdoor festival in Taos Ski Valley is situated on four acres of fenced land with the beautiful backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and surrounded by national forest. The gates open at 10am and festival attendees are urged to arrive early and claim your spot for the day to enjoy a full day of music and entertainment. Once settled, festival-goers can enjoy "Strawberry Fair" the festival's marketplace. They can check out circus entertainers, shop for crafts from local artisans and sample food from top area vendors and restaurants. For just $5, kids can enter the "Kidzone" and go wild in the jumpy castle, get their faces painted, play games, even learn to play the drums. This Labor Day weekend Taos Ski Valley will host activities for all to enjoy all weekend long including "Movies in the Mountains", guided hikes to Wheeler Peak (the tallest peak in New Mexico) and live bands in bars surrounding the festival grounds.
