Epic Snow Storm Brings 4 Feet of Snow Last Week!

Loveland Ski Area, CO - Last week here at Loveland we saw a snowstorm of epic proportions. Over 4 feet of snow fell last week alone bringing our year-to-date total to 255 inches! This is more than double the amount of snowfall we had on this date last year! Not only do we have tons of snow, but the forecast is calling for the weather stay nice and clear for this weekend. Come up and enjoy some of the best skiing and riding conditions we have seen in several seasons here at Loveland Ski Area: So close to home!

Winter Returns with Spring Snowstorm!


Loveland Valley, CO - With only a couple weeks left in the 2009-2010 ski season winter is making its grand return. A spring snowstorm is pushing through the area and has already dropped seven inches of fresh powder; and this might be just the beginning. Meteorologists are not sure exactly how much snow we may get, but there could be a lot more coming. As of Thursday afternoon the forecast is calling for up to 2 feet of snow by Saturday! With the Corn Harvest Party this Saturday, live music and fresh snow, Loveland is the place to be this weekend!

Your ski area closed already? Friends don't have a Loveland pass? Bring a 2009-2010 season pass from any ski area and receive one adult lift ticket for only $30! Take advantage of all this great spring skiing because this offer is only good through the end of this season.
Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party - This Saturday!
The 9th annual Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party once again returns to Loveland to celebrate another great season and give back to a very important organization: the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Anyone who has traveled in the backcountry knows what a valuable resource the CIAC is and now is your chance to say 'thank you'. Join us for a BBQ, New Belgium Beer, live bluegrass from the Blue Canyon Boys, a huge raffle and of course great skiing! Register the morning of in the cafeteria for only $60 including a lift ticket, and only $30 if you already have a pass.

Only a Few Weeks of the Season Left!


Loveland Valley, CO - With only a few weeks left in the 2009-2010 ski season it's time to get those last ski days in before we are closed for the summer! Closing day has been set for Sunday, May 2nd, although the snow and conditions are so great you wouldn't think the end of the season was right around the corner. With a couple great events coming up, live music and great spring skiing still to be had, make Loveland your choice for some outdoor fun!

Loveland Derby Celebrates 50 Years - This Weekend!
The Loveland Derby is the largest amateur race in North America and this weekend the event celebrates its 50th anniversary! The Derby will take place at Loveland Valley with a special alumni race and apres party on April 16th. All racers are invited to come out and celebrate the end of the 09-10 season with costumes, BBQs and fast paced racing fun for the entire family.

Charity Poker Run This Saturday!
This Saturday, April 17th, Sunglass Management Design will be hosting a charity Poker Run at Loveland Ski Area. All proceeds from this event will go to the Autism Society of Colorado. Autism is a disorder of the brain that is currently affecting 1 in 135 children in Colorado. Register the morning of on the patio for only $50 including a lift ticket, or $20 if you already have a pass. Then ski around the mountain to visit the dealers and build your hand. The best hand at the end of the day wins. Tons of prizes, live music and great skiing all for a good cause!

Spring Skiing and Riding at its Best!


Loveland, CO - The snow has started to fall here at Loveland Ski Area as a storm pushes in from the west. The forecast is still uncertain how much we may get although there is a chance for snow through the weekend. The skiing and riding here is already spring skiing at its best and with some fresh snow you don't want to miss out!

Loveland Valley Set to Close Sunday, May 4th
Now that spring is in the air The Loveland Valley is set to close for the season this weekend, Sunday, April 4th. The Loveland Ski & Ride School will continue to operate at the Basin through closing day, May 2nd.

A Foot of Fresh and SIA comes to Denver!


Georgetown, CO - Although we didn't get quite the snow the southern mountains did, over a foot of fresh snow fell on Loveland this past week. Slowly but surely the mountain is filling in and making for some excellent skiing and riding conditions. Most of the snowy weather has passed for now and the weather forecast for this weekend looks like mild temperatures and sunny skies; perfect skiing weather!

Loveland is also excited to welcome the Snowsports Industries America (SIA) Convention to Denver after 37 years in Las Vegas. The SIA convention features over 3,100 exhibitors and will bring an estimated 20,000 people to the Denver area through the weekend. In addition to the convention, ski areas including Loveland will be hosting apres parties to show off Denver's great nightlife and promote Colorado's amazing skiing and riding.

Join Loveland Ski Area in Denver at Katie Mullin's Irish Restaurant & Pub for drink specials, giveaways and fun as we help welcome the SIA Tradeshow to Denver. Loveland Ski Area will be giving away lift tickets and 4-Paks each night and even a 2009-2010 Season Pass on Saturday night. Thursday night features a piano sing-a-long at 9:30pm. On Friday from 5-8:00pm, Pairadeux takes the stage followed by the resident DJ at 10:00pm. And you don't want to miss The Potcheen Folk Band on Saturday night for some Celtic Pirate Punk Rock at 10:00pm.

New Snow Opens More Terrain for the Holidays!


Loveland, CO - After a foot of fresh snow this week not only are the conditions great, but Loveland Ski Area will be able to open more terrain as well! Over 10" fell on Sunday night giving us what we needed to open most of the runs off Chair 6 as well as Firecut off Chair 2. There is still plenty of more terrain to open, so keep thinking snow!

Skiing Santa Visits Loveland!
There is nothing Santa likes more than skiing (other then Christmas of course!) and this Christmas he visits his favorite ski area, Loveland! Keep your eyes peeled this holiday season for the Skiing Santa. He'll be cruising around the mountain with goodies for everyone and great photo opportunities.
