Freestyle Stars Head to Lake Placid


Wilmington, NY - Olympic freestyle skiing stars in moguls and aerials will come together for the first time this season returning to the 1980 Olympic slopes of Lake Placid, N.Y. for the USANA Freestyle Cup this Thursday through Saturday. The USANA Cup will mark Olympic champion Hannah Kearney's (Norwich, Vt.) return to competition after a training crash took her off the slopes in October. Heather McPhie (Bozeman, Mont.) will be looking to continue her winning streak after sweeping the first two international competitions.

The event will be televised by NBC, Sunday, Jan. 20 at 3 p.m. EST along with additional coverage on NBC Sports Network, Sunday, Jan 20, and Sunday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. EST. The moguls event on Thursday will be broadcast live on the USSA Network at USSkiTeam.com from 1:45-3:15 p.m. EST with aerials streaming Friday from 8:15-9:10 p.m. EST.
