Shawnee Mountain Kick Off Learn A Snow Sport Month


Shawnee on Delaware, PA – January 2010 is Learn A Snow Sport Month and Shawnee Mountain is pleased to announce its participation in this nationwide effort to get people outside and enjoying winter activities. We encourage those new to snow sports to take a lesson and those who are experienced, to bring a friend or the family.

Shawnee Mountain will kick off the month-long promotion on Thursday, January 7th with 100 introductory Learn to Ski or Snowboard Packages for the cost of $15 each. All proceeds from this one day promotion will be donated to the Bushkill Outreach Program. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 570-421-7231 ext. 229. Some restrictions do apply.

For the remainder of January, Shawnee Mountain will be offering a discount coupon good for a $59 Learn to Ski or Snowboard Package available online at www.ShawneeMt.com. This package includes a lift ticket, rental equipment and a group lesson.

Santa Claus Rides for Free at Camelback Mountain Resort on Christmas Eve


Tannersville, PA - Santa Takes a Break Before Big Night

Camelback Mountain Resort will celebrate the season with its annual Skiing Santa’s Day on Thursday, December 24. All skiers and snowboarders dressed as seasonal characters will be eligible for a free lift ticket for the day. “Being out on the slopes and seeing Santa and the characters is great,” said Charles Blier, general manager. He continued, “It brings the holiday spirit to the resort.”

To receive your all day pass please report to Guest Services before 10am on Christmas Eve Day fully dressed as Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, an elf or reindeer. A group photo will be taken at 11am.

Lots of Snow at Kimberley Alpine Resort and Ready to Celebrate Community

Kimberley, British Columbia - Kimberley Alpine Resort is ready to open for the season on Friday December 18. With over 30cm of fresh snow in the past week and more snow on the way, in addition to pleasant temperatures, skiing and snowboarding should be amazing this opening weekend! On Friday December 18, North Star Express Quad, Owl Magic Carpet, and Easter Triple Chair will be operating with more than 80% of the mountain open! The Tamarack Chair will commence operation on Saturday December 19 with more terrain and runs opening daily.

In the spirit of celebrating the start of a new ski season, Kimberley Alpine Resort will say "Thank-you" to local communities with a special Community Appreciation Day celebration on Sunday December 20th. Local residents of Kimberley, Marysville, Wasa, TaTa Creek, Wycliffe, and Cranbrook are invited to join in the skiing and snowboarding fun with complimentary lift access for the day. Tied into the celebration of community, Kimberley Alpine Resort will host a charity BBQ selling $2 burgers to locals from 11:00am to 2:30pm with proceeds going to the Kimberley Food Bank. Please note that photo ID and proof of local residency are required in order to receive a complimentary lift ticket for December 20th and to participate in the charity lunch.

Brighton Resort Announces 7th Annual Quad Wednesday

For this Wednesday, December 16, skiers and snowboarders can purchase an area day pass for just $15.00 when they bring one full grocery bag of non-perishable food for a donation to the Utah Food Bank. For more information concerning types of food needed see the Utah Food Bank website. Last year Brighton Resort collected over 25,000 pounds of food.
